Tofutsies is a a unique sock yarn with a wonderful lustre, resulting from the blend of 25% Soysilk, 50% superwash wool and 22.5% cotton - with a touch of chitin (from crabshells!) to complete the effect. Tofutsies is available in a great range of self-striping colourways, and the manufacturers, South West Trading Company, offer a range of free patterns which you can find here: http://www.soysilk.com/patterns/socks.html.  Tofutsies comes in balls of 100g, 425m: 1 ball is enough to make a pair of adult-sized socks.
